The other day I walked past this building where it seemed like outside was a box of Canada Day flags in preparation for the July 1st celebrations. While there is nothing unusual about that what I noticed was that all the flags had a Canada 150 tag on it which means these things are two years old. I suppose they had an excess inventory still?
It kind of made me wonder if people will actually notice on the day when you have a huge sea of people waving these small flags with the incorrect date. As well would you actually use old celebration items like this for the parties that you may be hosting? I guess one scenario would be using old birthday items from previous years where you combine stuff to try and change the meaning to suit the person’s special occasion. Funny enough I have seen stuff like that such as candles that don’t quite match where people just mixed them up from previous parties.
It would probably be more noticeable for small events. But for large ones I guess you can technically get away with it.
