Using AI As the Second Opinion

I was having fun experimenting with various AI programs to act as what should be an impartial voice on various business issues as people often complain that the people in charge can often surround themselves with say yes men which ultimately isn’t good for the long-term growth of the business. Was it any good? What I found is that just like a human you can kind of get it to sway towards an opinion you favor by constantly only asking it questions that say favors your initial thoughts. That would make sense where technically the machine only knows as much as you give it.

That holds true in analyzing data as well as it’s not quite there yet in terms of the program being able to effectively scout out information where you may have to go to niche sources versus what is readily available in the mainstream. In that sense, I don’t think it an replace a human yet but it can act as a quick second opinion and reference check.

If one does use it for confirmation bias then the AI will simply be a cheaper way to do that which isn’t a good idea. It seems like the balance would be to still have a variety of different thinkers on board and with that compiled data you can run it through the AI and allow it to make an analysis. You can ask it various questions such as changing certain numbers to see how that sounds and so fourth which should speed up productivity. Basically, it’s there to help versus replacing a person I think currently.
