You could argue that whenever you enlist someone’s help for a specific task where you feel they are the expert on the subject that not knowing anything about it or what you need exactly is normal. That’s why you pay people money so that you don’t have to do the thinking and work correct? It got me thinking though as with the recent times there have been a lot of people asking me for assistance to help them navigate through this digital arena as they are forced to start using more e-solutions during this pandemic.
One common item is to create an e-commerce site of sort where people with a traditional storefront needs to sell online or offer an easy way to order for home delivery. Like there the usual scenario is they say they don’t know what they need at all and just need something. In that case you are pretty much coming up with everything from the branding to functionality of the site.
It almost made me wonder if in these case it’s good to actually try a little bit yourself first. What I mean is there are a ton of free website builders out there nowadays. So trying it out can give you a better idea of what you like and want so that you will be prepared to talk to the professional. Or at the same time maybe you will find it’s not that hard to do. Of course this is meant more for budget conscious people as millionaires and large corporations just want their time to be free to do other stuff. But if you have more free time during the pandemic it may be a good just to take a crack at items like making a site.
