I am always looking for a good deal and sometimes the best deals are unadvertised. For example, a very common one are food products that are close to its expiry date where the company wants to get rid of it as fast as possible. Usually the only way to find out if these deals exists is to physically visit the store and do some walking around. I then heard there was apparently this app that actually tells you what products the store is clearing out at a heavily discounted price.
The app in question is called Flashfood and apparently what they do is partner up with supermarkets where through this app people can specifically see what items the store is trying to get rid of fast. It seemed like you could usually get a fifty percent discount on various items where the expiry date is pretty near. So I would imagine if you use this that your intent is to use it as soon as possible. Although people often say the expiry date doesn’t mean you can’t eat it still. It just won’t be the same quality.
But so far some of the best deals I have seen is that at times they have boxes of fruits and vegetables for pretty cheap where it seems like the only issue is that they are “ugly” per se. So here is at least another tool for you to explore in an effort to save money.
