Today while shopping I saw a very common scenario. Essentially I went into a store with a person who wanted to buy these vitamins that were on sale. So sure enough he bought it. We then went to look at a different store in search for a different item and sure enough it had the exact same vitamins except it was about a quarter cheaper. Of the course the first reaction was a “darn it” as it’s one of those he should have waited before buying.
The interesting thing is too he could have easily just returned the other purchase and buy this one to save money However, he didn’t want to as to him he said he didn’t want to feel like a cheap guy returning items for such a low savings. Is it really that embarrassing to save money I thought? For a lot of stores in this case what I usually do instead of just returning the item I just take a digital picture of the competitor price and simply bring it the store I made the purchase and they just refund me the difference. Many times too places a price beat guarantee which means you save even more. Technology makes it even easier nowadays to make sure you are getting the best deals.
