While watching a video today one person was talking about certain leaders that seemed to have a recipe for success. One of the points interestingly enough was that if you want to succeed in a congested marketplace then you shouldn’t always follow the rules. That is an eyebrow raiser in many ways but at the same time it can be true.
Now the context of this isn’t to say break the law such as robbing a bank. Instead it’s the conventional thought that you must do things certain way to succeed in life. For example, someone comes up to you with all this data that people like things of certain colors and design and so you must follow that exact formula to succeed. Instead doing something completely opposite of what they say would be an example of breaking the rules.
That’s really important to think about as too many times we simply copy the same formula that someone else did which may not be relevant for you at this day and age. I think food shows are a great example such as people saying for certain cuisines you must use specific ingredients and styles otherwise you won’t succeed. Like there it’s great to see people challenge and breaking those rules just to end up as a winner.
