People often say where if someone has an extreme debt issue where they are horrible in financial management then throwing them free money won’t necessarily get rid of the problem. All that is doing is delaying the inevitable since the old habits still exist. So it was funny to hear a twist with this where there were people who thought giving a specific person all this free education and mentor-ship would turn things around in his professional business life. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case as once he completed the program and all where he was on his own he pretty much just did nothing with it as if he never received anything in the first place.
You can give the person all the money you want. But in these cases it comes down to the person actually wanting to change and do more in life per se. That’s always a tricky topic as how you unleash that motivation for yourself is different for everyone. For example, for myself it’s just that thought of wanting to do something great that will last even when I am gone. It’s the thought of what kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
Money can help me get the resources to reach that goal, but it definitely wouldn’t be the main factor that gets me to actually do it. Just throwing money at people won’t just magically fix everything. If anything I am inclined to say giving people less may actually push them to do something where when people have nothing with their backs to the wall that’s often when they decide enough is enough.
