Taking Care of Your Equipment To Save Money

The other day a person was curious on how many times I have charged a specific battery for one of my devices. There is actually a part within the app device that tells you and it mentioned that it has been charged over five hundred times. To me that didn’t sound too much but apparently that was a lot. The person was stunned and asked what I did to take care of I so well to get that kind of life out of it. I honestly don’t know other than I keep devices in cases when not in use and for batteries I constantly use them as opposed to leaving them idle which apparently kills its lifespan.

It gave him a different perspective too as to how long certain devices could last if you take care of them. The funny thing was too I suggested he put things in a case but before this he just said it was a waste of money. Now that he saw how much use I got out of my stuff he saw clearly how I was able to survive without having to buy expensive replacements so fast and it encouraged him to store items better.

We often make fun of those such as people who seem to take care of their cars as if it was their real human baby. But there is some merit to taking care of your belongings. Especially expensive ones that you use all the time. Spending a little now to maintain the item can be a wise investment to prevent having to buy new stuff all the time. It’s nice to have the latest and greatest but better to get the most of what you have first.
