I was thinking today that if you simply walk around the malls there are so many extra things that are offered for free in a lot places yet for the most part people don’t take advantage of it. One example is that in the mall I was in there is an area temporarily where people can get free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. However, you still see a lot of people going to the stores and paying money for it. The quality of the free ones is pretty good too. It just makes you wonder if getting things for free at times make people feel weird.
Another example is wrapping gifts as there is actually a service for free many times where you can get your gifts wrapped for free. While I understand people not wanting to leave say a $2000 watch to wrap, it’s surprising to me when people give other items like a box of chocolate where they then pay so much for wrapping paper when they could just use a free service like that.
I guess if you are just worried about looking like a freeloader I always keep in mind that most malls offer these services in hopes to get you to shop at various stores since they want people to shop at their places instead of others.
