Such Short Travel Distance For The Money

Today I decided to take the bus to get to my destination and one thing that was very odd to me was how there were so many people who were paying for a fare only to get off at two stops or so. This situation was kind of funny I thought as this particular bus has to go in a circle around a mall due to the road setup. Therefore, the 2nd stop is literally just outside of the mall on the other side which would take you like maybe three minutes to walk.

I ruled out the possibility that people were using say a monthly farecard as various people were paying in cash as they stepped on. The fares aren’t that cheap either as in this case it would have cost these people at least $2.75. For myself when it comes to using things like the bus I usually avoid it and stick with good old fashion walking if I can get to my destination within fifteen to twenty minutes by walking and assuming I am not carrying anything heavy. The same would go with things like a car in my mind.

You can save so much money by simply relying on the vehicles less. Not only that, it’s pretty much making it a lifestyle habit where it’s like you don’t even need to pay for a gym membership to stay fit. I remember this was one way I saved so much money while working those teenage jobs as even though it took me like twenty minutes to walk to work each day the savings definitely paid off. It just seems a little silly to me to pay that much money for something you aren’t fully utilizing for the amount of money you paid with the above scenario.
