Spending Too Much Time On Minor Offers

Sunny drone shot

I was looking at this application for a social networking site where the business model was to simply get people to either spend real money to get site credits or the person could complete one of the offers to receive them . It was pretty typical where the stuff you could do for free consisted of filling out tedious surveys or having to agree to try out a sponsor’s product.

What was amazing to me is how many people actually took say one hour of their time to fill out questionnaires to earn credit that would normally only cost them about $2 in actual money. They would then follow up on how they got such a great deal as they didn’t have to pay anything. Isn’t it wiser to just earn money even at say an entry level job in that case?

Getting things for free is always nice of course. But at times like these I think you just have to surrender to the fact that you lose too much by doing minor offers like these. Of course for the business it’s great as they get thousands of people completing the offers and making a load off them. It’s not a really good trade off to spend more overall just for the sake of saying you got something for free. Again, unless you are like the business leveraging your time by earning all the commission off these people then that is a different story.
