Imagine this where someone has a minor smudge on a small section of a wall in a room. This could just be due to maybe something chipping the wall by accident or just over time the color started to fade for whatever reason. Because of this one small imperfection the person decided to spend hundreds of dollars to re-paint the whole room even though they always complain they don’t have enough money. My first reaction is why do that if money is an issue? The main reason was basically it bothered them to see that one imperfection as other people may notice too.
Are there things like this that you have spent a lot of money to correct as well even though technically it doesn’t affect the functionality of whatever it is? I know for myself the only time I would really care is if it is about presentation for someone else. For example, it is for a piece of work that you are selling to someone where you want to give them a perfect item. Or if you are wearing pieces of clothing like a suit specifically to impress people.
But for everyday things such as have a minor scratch on say a kitchen appliance I would find that odd to replace everything just for that. Or say a small hole in a towel where if it is still usable I would until it is completely gone. Isn’t the home supposed to be your private place where it’s all for you and not to impress others per se?
