Today while walking around the park I was talking to a person who seems to regularly feed the squirrels as he carries a bunch of peanuts with him. There is probably a good five pounds worth of peanut that he has in the bag. He mentioned that he walked around the park for things like exercising and feeding the squirrels helps to relax him more. He then mentioned how much he spent on peanuts a month just to feed the squirrels which was the shocking part.
Apparently the amount he spent was about three hundred dollars a month on peanuts. He was even saying how the stores he buys the peanuts from loves him since he buys so much. Just think about that too. Three hundred dollars a month is what many people spend for their monthly grocery bills. Yet this person spends that much to feed wild squirrels. I guess if you think about it from a hobby perspective it’s probably similar to what people would spend dining out for the heck of it as an example or going to events.
But it makes me think would you ever consider like here where maybe that is way too much just for one hobby? Ultimately it is your money to spend as you please of course. This example though sure was a unique one that I have encountered.
