This got me thinking as today a person I knew mentioned how they will need to take it easy as he was suffering from a rib injury. People were curious as to what he did that got him hurt as the assumption is that it was a work-related accident since he does have to lift heavy objects a lot. Apparently, he got one of his friend to try and “crack his back” back into place which isn’t too unusual. However, it didn’t go as planned and he got injured.
Even my initial thought was wouldn’t it be better to actually go to someone who does this professionally? This is one of those things where saving a few dollars may not be the best idea when it comes to your health and well-being. Because if something goes wrong you will end up paying even more and possibly forever.
Of course things can happen even in a professional environment, but odds are they will be equipped to minimize the risk and take care of any unexpected accidents.
