Pretending To Know Nothing About Offers

Funny thing today as I went into a store asking abut the boxing day deals they would have as I am seriously looking to do business with them. But when I enquired about this they simply mentioned they knew nothing about it. While there are odds they truly didn’t know anything about it, I was thinking it may be a bit hard not to know as this is the biggest sale time of the year usually and I know the company sent memos to everyone about it. So I was inclined to think they were just holding back as it is supposed to be a hush hush thing.

I just find this a little counter productive as I would say the better route to go with if you don’t want to release information is to say there is some kind of sale but you can’t release details. It just feels weird when you walk into a store and it feels like you know more than the actual worker in regards to promotions that are coming up. A little acknowledgement is better I think to at least maintain rapport and to encourage the sale for when it does come.
