One thing that’s usually normal after an event like Valentine’s day is how stores now have an excess inventory of chocolate to sell off if they weren’t able to sell it during the event day. While in some cases they are theme based where here there are a ton of heart shaped candy, there are also a ton of just ordinary chocolate items as well. What got me thinking was how in one store it seems liked they were already creating sections for Easter. A bit early isn’t it? There were actually a ton of egg shaped chocolate items on clearance from Valentine’s day which made me think if you buy this stuff normally for Easter then you can save a ton of money this way.
Sounds like a common sense thing to do but for the most part it seems like people would automatically think because it is a Valentine’s day clearance deal that the items make no sense for other holidays. This usually isn’t the case as there are often so many items that you can use in different holidays where people wouldn’t even know the difference. Another example could be those I love you teddy bears where you can technically use those in so many different scenarios.
A very practical use can be if you run some kind of catering business or need to stock up on corporate snacks for employees as an example usually people just dump everything in a container or a jar to help themselves. Without any kind of branding package it is what it is and no one really thinks about what holiday event the chocolate was for. Unless these are expired chocolate. Then that is different.
