For a lot of entrepreneurs getting ahead and staying at the top is something many strive for where many times that means having to have no mercy on the competition. That could mean undercutting them until they go out of business or trying to close them down because of some technicality. But what always surprises me is when I read the news about kids starting these small businesses like a lemonade stand where even with stuff like that people are still ruthless.
I was reading one recently where apparently a child was selling lemonade on their own house property and because of that someone was trying to phone the authorities on them for not having a license and permit of sorts to do so. Like there I would ask is there such a thing as being too ruthless when running a business in the sense of everyone else must go bankrupt?
In many ways I almost feel like it’s like creating art. While a person would definitely want to stand out doing so by shutting others down in some ways makes it feel like one isn’t confident that their work is truly the best. Granted if it is due to doing something extremely wrong or unethical like say selling fake or dangerous products then that is different. But in many ways competition can be good even to push you to be the best or at the same time in these examples you are helping a future generation to actually innovate and succeed which benefits everyone.
