Today as I left the house I realized that I forgot to take my wallet. This would mean I wouldn’t have anything such as money or a credit card where if I needed to purchase anything then I would be out of luck. I didn’t have any intent to purchase anything anyhow and so I figured instead of turning back I just went to finish my errands.
Once I did everything I was actually debating about going through the mall and seeing what kind of deals there were for the time being which I haven’t done as much since the pandemic. But then I remembered that I actually didn’t bring my wallet which would make it pointless to go in. So, I decided to just skip it and went straight home. It made me legitimately think if this could work to help people who always impulse shop to save money.
Because if you think about it you are essentially taking away the ability to make any purchases that you truly don’t need. I personally find it’s usually those small purchases that add up for many people such as buying a $5 bubble tea drink or something just because they can at the moment even though the person constantly says they are broke at the end of the month.
