No Price Matching So I returned The Phone

With Amazon having a big sale today I actually saw a sale price for the Samsung A16 phone I bought last week as a temporary phone due to my S23 breaking. It was about $280 which wasn’t too bad for a low lend phone. But today on Amazon it was on sale for $199. That’s a huge difference and so my mind was set where if they could price match, it then I’ll keep it as a spare. If not, I will return it. As it turned out, the manger at the store mentioned there is no price matching policy and so I returned the whole phone for a refund.

I was even say how I thought that was odd for the company to not just match the price and he explained it’s just company policy. It looked like as he was processing the return there was a field where he would have to enter why the customer was returning the phone. He asked again how much it was on Amazon and I said $199. I guess as he looked at how much they were charging if he had a big reaction and we laughed as he openly admits even he would return the phone.

I suppose the company could be losing money in the sense of they aren’t getting manufacturer funding to sell the product cheaper. But it makes you think if you should have a price matching policy just to maintain the customer in general.
