We are often told that when it comes to the things we produce it’s all about the substance of the item where if it is great then realistically you should see great success. But today I was watching this person who has been producing some work for years where while the product seemed great as always he has never actually tried to modernize his image. Imagine it like watching a TV show nowadays where it looked like it was filmed on a camera back in the 90’s.
The more I thought about it this felt like a big reason why he never really took off like a lot of other people despite him have a great product. I can only imagine that a lot of people would in in fact judge him based on the image impression. Virtually no different where a person wearing a suit and selling houses will get a different type of reaction and attention than a guy wearing a t-shirt. It just is important to worry about your image as well.
That’s not the type of thing you would want to believe of course as it seems so wrong where it should always be about the product. However, it just seems like an essential factor that you need to take seriously if your intent is to grow big in many cases.
