The other day I was playing around with some finance related apps for mobile phones to see what they were like. One category that came up is how various banks had its own banking apps. I did try it and for the most part it seemed like you were running a condensed version of the bank’s website as expected. Maybe it’s just me, but something about doing serious banking on a mobile phone app makes me a little weary still in terms of security.
It almost feels like you are entering your PIN number at an ATM machine except everyone can see it kind of thing. What I did think it can be useful for are people that aren’t very good at handling things like credit cards as this way you can give yourself an instant look at what your balance is to discourage you from spending more money than you actually have. The more options to stay in tune with your finances the better I suppose.
