Leveraging Off Other Company Sale Events Amazon Prime

With Amazon Prime day coming up there are a lot of people who are anticipating some great deals. This is an event that was strictly created by the company itself of course where for the most part it seems like it has been very successful for them. Kind of reminds me of that singles day event that was invented in China that has evolved into a Black Friday type of event. But what is interesting is how a ton of companies are trying to take advantage of the hype by hoping to redirect customers to their own business.

For example, Ebay seemed to be one of the most aggressive where they created a marketing campaign calling it their Crash Day sale. This is supposed to poke fun on how Amazon’s site went down on its own sales event day. Then other large retailers such as Walmart are holding a big sales event on the same day. Some companies just outright tell people “Happy Prime Day” where by inserting those words in its literature they hope people will think they are part of the company’s sales day.

I guess that’s one approach you could definitely use where the large corporation spends all this time and money in branding an event to hopefully get people to purchase which enables you to potentially jump into the party as well I guess you can say,
