This was kind of interesting to see where there appeared to be a person who had quite a large network of professionals who followed his podcast where you would assume on the outside they must be doing well financially. But that was definitely not the case as the operation literally generated no real income and ran like a passion project. This became obvious when they were seeking out for essentially free labor as hiring people can get expensive even at minimum wage for a hobby type of operation.
This happens frequently where we always assume a person or business must be raking in the money with how much clout they seem to be getting but that simply isn’t the case. For example, there are those who have won Olympic gold medals where financially their life is virtually no different than the average working citizen. Not everyone gets million-dollar sponsorship opportunities as an example. For some people though it doesn’t matter as it is truly a passion project.
It gives you perspective too where if you are constantly comparing yourself to someone else thinking you need to do exactly what they are doing you could be psyching yourself out as they may not even be in a position of say success that you actually are trying to achieve.
