Having A Mindset Where Bills Are Optional

I was watching this video today of some kind of sustainable portable home of sorts called an “Ecocapsule” which you can see here if you wish. In many ways, it reminds me of people who choose to live in “tiny houses” where as a result they have very few bills to pay compared to most. A s result, they don’t have to earn as much because they simply don’t spend as much. You can see the video here:

While I personally still think it’s kind of expensive for practical applications as I would imagine the bulk of the expense would come in finding a land to live on, for a person like me it helps to reinforce the mindset that all the bills you have are a result of a lifestyle that you are trying to sustain. For me personally this makes me hold myself accountable in making sure I have the finances to match the wants in life.

Because like with this, it shows there are other ways to live like a more compact lifestyle that is still comfortable but maybe not as glamorous. I personally don’t understand people who live in gigantic houses where it’s only two people yet at the same time they are complaining how expensive it is to live as an example.

In some cases it can relate to a business as well. For example, some people rent out expensive office spaces where they then pass off the expense to their clients saying they have to charge that to make up for their expenses. Then there are others that have found a good way to create say a home office to help eliminate that expense. Obviously that wouldn’t work if you are like a corporation with fifty plus employees, but I would imagine then you have the income to justify it where those bills shouldn’t be an issue. There are even more companies nowadays that enable their employees to telecommute as well to save money for everyone.
