Going To A Different City To Save Money

As I was walking past West Vancouver today I started to visit various local shops as I like to research about prices about local offerings as you never know where you can find a great deal. Not too surprisingly some of the prices for services are super expensive compared to other close by cities. For example, $25 for a regular men’s haircut which seems pretty expensive. That then made me think how the gas price is extremely high here too and a person was saying it’s so much cheaper to drive to the US for him.

Usually when you say go to a different city though people think you mean one in a different province or state. But this can simply mean the city that is like a 5 min drive from the other. I often find the price differences can be drastic especially when you have more variety of local vendors. Just like shopping in one store you are usually going to buy everything there for the sake of convenience which could cost more. Same concept city wise with a simple example being if one city is closer to the shore and has all the seafood coming in then it could be cheaper to get those items there than from a place that needs to transport it over.

I find the savings are often significant and once you learn where the best deals are in certain places you can kind of adjust your travel routes to pass by the stores on your way to other places.
