With Halloween coming up there are a ton of people who are stocking up to give candies away to kids. For some households such as people who live in apartments they usually don’t get to giveaway much candy where at the end of the night they have a ton leftover. Afterwards they try and find someone to give it away to. That’s when I was reading that one person actually buys candy that he would actually eat himself so at the end of the day if he didn’t give everything away he would still consume it so no money wasted.
That created some humorous scenarios though such as one buying things that no kid would want where it guarantees they would have more for themselves. I suppose in many ways it’s a practical way of shopping even in cases that aren’t Halloween related when it comes to food and snacks. I guess a common scenario are the grandparents that buy things when the grandchildren visit. If they don’t finish everything it often goes to the garbage I would image.
But like that example I could imagine what the grandparent would eat will most likely make the kids run for cover huh? This is definitely one of the trickier scenarios to save money where everyone would be happy.
