I was just looking at some income reports for some sites and it was pretty interesting as it seemed like one particular site out of about four others was literally generating 80% of the profits for a company. Therefore, the other ones were more like a non profit hobbyist type of site in terms of generating revenue.
I guess the logical thing would be to just focus on that one site that is producing the results. However, they were hesitant to do so as closing something down is a big decision for some as they become emotionally attached to what they created. It made financial sense to do it too as continuing to operate those other sites simply drained their funds.
One way to make it easier is to see it from a view where if you focus your energy on the one that is producing results then you could always re-open the other ones later. That way you get over the thought where if you close something down it’s as if you are never going to re-open it again.
