I have a relatively small voucher for Amazon worth $5 off anything. The only issue is I don’t necessarily need anything at the moment and this voucher expires at the end of this month. What I found myself doing is that I looked at items that I was partially thinking of buying and seeing if there was something close to the value of the coupon. Example, pillows were on my mind still and so I tried to see if there was any cheap one for around that price.
While there were plenty of $10 ones, the quality wasn’t what I was looking for. I then looked for consumables to see if there was anything I would have bought anyways such as grocery items but the prices itself seemed inflated. While I would still save using the voucher, it seems wasteful. Funny enough, my last thought was to buy a gift card with it as those don’t expire.
All in all, at the end of the day if I really can’t find anything for myself it’s better to just give it away to someone who intended to make a purchase. Interesting how we don’t usually consider that as an option huh? Saves you from having to spend money you weren’t going to and at the same time it will help another person.
