Expecting People To Spend Federal Aid Money On You

With a lot of people getting some kind special funds during these times the number seems to be around $1000 for people to help them during these hard times. You would think the idea of that money is to help with things such as paying the bills. But from what I am reading there are a ton of people who instead are planning to buy say that huge TV they have been eyeing or a cool new piece of tool. With that in mind it seemed a little coincidental that a ton of companies are now announcing new products within that $1000 price range.

It’s almost like they know people are going to get money and so they need to package their new offering in a way to hopefully get people to spend it all on them. In some cases it seems like companies sacrificed some profits to get the price point just to $1000. I suppose business wise it’s a smart idea to try and capitalize on a specific time where people are highly likely to spend money.

Although it does make me wonder for all the products that are not essential during this time on how one would advertise their offering in such a way that it’s better to spend it all on this fun gizmo per se versus setting it aside for paying things like the Internet and phone bill for the whole year as an example. Would you as a company feel weird to convince people to spend it on you instead with that example scenario? Or is it just business?
