Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell Feud

While watching the news I saw this story about a mud slinging fest between Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump. In a nutshell, Donald Trump recently had a press release on how a Miss USA winner named Tara Connor received a second chance to keep her reign as Miss USA despite allegations of her doing things such as a drug abuse incident. Rosie basically blasted and criticized Trump about this on the show The View which created a fued between the two. Here is a video of the report I saw:

As you can see, Donald Trump intends to sue her as some harsh words were thrown back and fourth. There were some pretty snide remarks in her comments about Trump like how he apparently declared for bankruptcy and the way he got out of it was that he used money that came from his dad after he died and so he is not a self-made man. I’m personally not sure about the details specifically, but that comment sounds really wicked and it seems to me like she is a little bitter about his success for some reason. Or, maybe the fact that the topic was about a Miss USA winner which possibly makes her upset when she compares herself to them? We’ll never know I suppose, but it does seem like bitterness to me though.

I’m starting to think Rosie O’Donnell is also doing this for publicity as well as not too long ago she made some kind of comment that also outraged a lot of people on the same show. That is the price of success as well as being in the public eye opens you up to all sorts of attacks and scrutiny. For this particular incident though, I think I would be more incline to vouch for Trump and would rather see him successfully sue her than to let her comments go without any real consequences if her allegations about him are false. Should be interesting to see what happens.

    wow maybe you should look at from the other side, rosie may have just enlighted us. don’t we have a no tolerance for drugs and alcohol for our kids? isn’t the miss usa suppose to be a role model for teenage girls? so now we say that it’s ok we’ll just give you another chance. didn’t they take the crown away from vanessa williams for nude photos? but drugs and alcohol are ok? wow! this should of been a clear NO TOLERANCE message, especially to young girls.

    shame on donald and he sure is no role model.

    I’m a pretty open minded person and actually did look at it from both sides of the fence. It sounds like you are focusing more on the story itself on how the Miss USA winner got a second chance despite what happened. For myself, that is not the main point of this debacle that we see or the points I made personally.

    You want to criticize Trump for his decision? By all means, go ahead. If it was me personally and everything turned out to be true about her, I would have took her title away as I believe at that age you are definitely old enough to make decisions responsibly and should be prepared to face the consequences of your actions. But again, that is besides the point of this whole thing.

    If you think about it, if Rosie’s whole point was to simply enlighten people about the decision in a public service type of way to hopefully make things better, why did she constantly mock Trump, attempt to downplay his success and so fourth? In my opinion, it looked like this was just a smoke and mirror method to enable her to attack him on a personal level. As mentioned, I don’t know the details specifically, but if those comments about the bankruptcy and all are not entirely true, then similarly I think Rosie should also be at that age to accept the consequences of her actions.

    In terms of name calling, I do agree that it is wrong and is usually a cheap way of retaliating, but what is the difference in her calling him say a snake oil salesmen and him calling her fat all the time? Their both at fault in regards to that in my view and I see that as a mud slinging fest. If you strongly believe Donald Trump is no role model because of that then I would have to think it should work both ways where Rosie O’Donnell isn’t one in your mind either then.
