I thought this was an interesting comment. You know how normally when you classify say a middle class worker you would determine it by things like the amount of income that they make? Well, a person was telling me today that there is a system that judges it based solely on the amount of debt that you had. Essentially, if you have no debt of any kind you are considered as a wealthy middle class person regardless of how much you actually make.
That is kind of a strange way of determining it I think considering that most of the people who have a lot of money usually have some form of debt as they always like to use other people’s money to fund their ventures. I suppose if anything it can be a way to motivate people to have zero debt if having a status quo of sort is the way to push one achieve that.
