The Cheaper Item With No Reward Points

financial literacy

While in the supermarket today there were some jars of pickles that had a promotion where if you buy a jar you would get store reward points for it. The price itself for the item seemed standard. Right next to it were other brands that were on sale and you could literally save about $1 for getting that instead where the amount of reward points you get for the other one wouldn’t come close in terms of savings. Interesting enough, people still went for the one with the reward points.

This just reminds me again on how when it comes to reward points a lot of times going out of your way to earn them can cost more money. Therefore, it’s usually better to find the best deal first and then see which one would also give you reward points for maximum value. At the end of the day, we are trying to save money after all.
