Cheaper But Marketed To Kids

business and finance blog

Funny situation today as I saw a person who was looking to buy a pen at a store as it seemed like he just needed anything at the moment. They aren’t usually that expensive and so in this case it seemed like he wanted the cheapest option. However, the cheapest option was a pen that was labelled as for kids as it looked like it had goofy pictures on it. It was funny as because of this it seemed like he was confused at which one he should buy and that if buying the cheaper option will kill his manly-hood of sort.

I most commonly see these type of things with beverages such as juices. Even though technically there is no real difference from say apple juice number one versus apple juice number two, if one of them are labelled as for kids then the adult would usually still buy the more expensive item. The things we spend extra money on huh?
