People are going crazy here again as they attempt to catch a glimpse of the aurora lights in Vancouver. People seem to be driving to spots to try and secure a look as if one was going to a fireworks event. I did catch some of it last night on the camera but the setting wasn’t appropriate. So I’ll try again. But what made me think here is how this is a free and simple activity that can give you the same kind of rush and reward as if you were paying hundreds of dollars for some event.
It has a bit of everything such as a hike of sort to get to the good location, planning and setup to try and capture or see the view as best as possible and then the reward when the show happens. If you are one to say you can’t afford any activities you could just be looking at the wrong places as you can always find something for free like this. I know a lot of people are usually up for the adventure too which would be a bad post dinner activity.
It also increases your chances of meeting others who enjoy those activities which in turn may introduce you to even more free events like these you may be unaware of. It’s a big world out there and you don’t necessarily need to break the bank to enjoy it.
