At the supermarket today for some odd reason there were full sized bag of cookies on sale for 48 cents each. These aren’t no name brands either as they were things like Oreo cookies and Chips Ahoy. As you can imagine there were people with shopping carts full of cookies as each bag easily goes for over two dollars at a regular price. While I don’t usually purchase stuff like this it even got me tempted to buy it. If anything it can be for guests and such too.
But in these cases and knowing that obviously it’s not good for you to eat too much of this stuff would you be inclined to spend a ton of money on junk food because it is just crazy cheap at the moment? I know for myself I am inclined to buy it and then give it away to people. Or at the same time figure that it’s once in a while so why not? It just seems so bad huh? If this was actual grocery items or non-perishables that were good for you I would be all over it.
People often say one way to save money is to not spend it on junk that you don’t need. Would you say cheap junk food is the same? Or would that be just part of your monthly food expense bill?
