Being A Guest And Having To Spend More

Usually during these times it’s great to catch up with friends and family as it is the holiday and near the end of the year. But usually getting invited to all these gatherings means having to spend money. Whether it’d paying for food or buying gifts, you can bet it adds some financial expense to an already expensive month. Which makes me wonder, when you invite guests or have get togethers do you consciously try and ensure people won’t have to spend money if possible?

I usually do that where once everything is factored in such as people chipping in for say meals I personally would hate it if people had to spend way more money for transportation or having to buy extra things as part of the gathering. It just makes it a little less inviting I think in the same vein as being invited to a party of sort but then you are expected to pay for things like a cover charge as if you are going for a casual night out.

If anything, the gathering itself should be the most important thing while trying to make it as accessible as possible.
