Why You Should Tell People What You’re Looking For

Today got me thinking about money and how we often overlook simple ways to save. A friend mentioned wanting cherries, but they were shocked by the price—seven dollars a pound. That seemed crazy to me. Later that day, I happened to walk by a neighborhood store selling cherries for just one ninety-nine a pound—a much better deal. So, I grabbed some for them.

It made me realize that when you’re looking for something, you should let the people in your life know. Not everyone will spot the best deals, but the more eyes you have out there, the better your chances. That’s what friends and networking are for, right?
In my opinion, we should use those connections to our advantage when shopping. It can save you a lot of money.
