Today I got a sudden notice that I would be needed at Whistler BC where there is currently some health issues due to the air quality. As you may be aware, there are an abundant of forest fires at the moment in the province and as a result the skies are filled with smoke in many places. Whistler happens to be an area that is very close to the burnings as well.
In general, the warning levels seemed to have dropped quite a bit and a person like myself shouldn’t have any problems as I am usually very active and stay healthy. At the same time, there are many people who wouldn’t be able to tolerate it too much due to health issues. That means there are less people who are actually able to do any kind of business or work in those conditions. It got me thinking business wise how at times like these an entrepreneur can pretty much swoop in and take all the business since there is less competition. At the same time, would it be worth it to potentially sacrifice a bit of your health?
Kind of gruesome to think about in some ways where it’s like one’s opportunity is mostly a result of other people’s misfortunes. But that’s how it goes in business many times huh? When you think about too, there are tons of people all over the world who have it a lot worst yet they still find some way to conduct business to support a family. With our resources too, we should be prepared to adapt to almost any situation when you think about it.
