It’s been fascinating reading stories of this new product launch called Lunchly which is supposed to compete with an established brand called Lunchables. Both of them are essentially small do it yourself lunches meant for kids where the proposition I suppose is instead of getting that boring plain ham sandwich a kid could instead be easting things like pizza. Now one of the reason this Lunchly product is getting so much attention is because it was founded by social media superstars MrBeast, KSI and Logan Paul. They have existing successful business too where in this case it consisted of the Feastable chocolate bars and Prime energy drink.
Now they also advertise theirs as the healthier option per se and as a result it seems like a lot of medical and health personalities came out essentially saying why the products are really that great for say kids. One interesting argument about this was how the Prime Energy drinks was essentially something you would see athletes drink as a sports drink which doesn’t make much sense for a regular student to consume such a beverage. But in general the consensus was neither of these company’s offerings were recommended over preparing something yourself.
However, the response to this by the Lunchly founders was interesting as some started to criticize how they people aren’t really “experts” but rather “personalities” trying to take advantage of the attention placed on the product. As well, comments on how some felt it was crazy that people were so critical when these guys were simply trying to start another business where it’s most just about hate and not wanting people to succeed. While that may be true in a lot of cases, it’s not exactly a good reaction huh? In those cases it almost sounds wiser to just focus in improving the product and business.
