I recently decided to do more research about a company that seemed to be pretty slow in delivering an item where initially I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they are a small business and may simply be understaffed. However, upon research I found online that years ago people were expressing the same concerns as they didn’t seem to be able to process any orders in a timely manner while leaving customers in the dark on what was going on.
Apparently, their response was that they are a growing business and therefore they are struggling to ensure that everything from logistics to customer service is up to speed like a well-oiled machine. Clearly years later things haven’t seemed to have changed where my conclusion thus far is that the people operating it are simply treating it as if it is some side Ebay business of sort where they will get to it when they can as other commitments take priority.
That makes me wonder if saying you are a growing business is ever an excuse for poor performance in the same vein on how if a new employee at a job messes up people are often understanding. Would that be the same in your mind if a business completely messes up your order as an example? I think most people would be very upset and expect compensation of some sort. If anything, you have to prepare some way to make up for an error I think.
