People usually work hard in their younger years in an effort to save money for their retirement. Once they reach retirement age, they then go on non stop tours to enjoy life. But today I bumped into someone who was going hard and traveling as much as he can while he is young with the reasoning that he won’t be able to do or enjoy a lot of things when he is old such as more physically demanding hikes. It’s not the first time I heard of this and I still remember stories of people saying how they regret not doing things like travelling earlier as money can always be made.
I usually try to opt for something balanced where I can say have that freedom to explore while finding ways to make my life work with it. For example, being able to do work while I am out exploring versus having to be tied down indoors all the time. I never felt the need to have to splurge thousands of dollars at once for some party as an example.
This way too you can technically have a good life everyday versus once in awhile like some overspending debt you need to make up for later. If anything, find ways to make money while travelling too to get the best of both worlds.
