Today there was a conversation how a person won a contract to do a job where he essentially was an integral part of the production. It’s a little too late to replace him too as the project is too far down the road to stop now. The person asked an interesting question where what happens if he was just so sick such as he was throwing up everywhere? Because of that should people always have a backup?
One of the answer was most people would just suck it up and do it. Funny enough there were things implied such as they would still show up and for maybe the 5 minutes the person does feel well they would work and then go back to being sick. The rationale was if there is way too much money and time commitment to finish something then people are going to want to get it done either way. That’s kind of crazy to think about yet not too farfetched in some cases I suppose.
I know for me funny enough I would be inclined to say I would still find a way to try and finish the job if possible. Unless it was something ludicrous such as I literally got hit by a car or something like that where I need medical attention now.
