Theming Events Based On Celebrities Everywhere

It’s the Christmas season here and as expected you see a bunch decorations and Christmas trees around town to establish the festive move. With that said, I was actually confused at first on what these phrases had to do with Christmas such as the words “Shake It” seemingly appearing in front of the Christmas tree display. I assumed it was dancing related but it was a little unusual. Apparently, this wasn’t for Christmas specifically but rather a Taylor Swift concert is happening and so organizers decided to make events based on the artist’s songs.

It is supposed to be a massive event which is understandable why businesses would want to capitalize on the craze. Afterwards it is stated that all the words will be reverted to something more Christmas oriented. Decorating the whole town around a celebrity is a little strange I thought as I’m sure there is a large part of the town who has no interest in the artist. But since the person is famous is it a good idea for a city to brand it like royalty per se?

I wouldn’t know in this case but I am sure the person’s visit will generate local business that people will be glad to take. So it wouldn’t be a bad idea I suppose to create say a “Taylor Swift” themed deal or offer to capitalize on it even if it literally is just the same stuff you usually offer but with a discount of sort.
