This was an interesting scenario as there was this one guy I noticed who seems to be always be looking to hire new help where you have to wonder why he can’t retain regular help. From what I can gather, he doesn’t seem to treat workers too well and has an ego of sort for some reason as if he needs to feel he is better than the people he hires. Kind of crazy as if you hire people wo know more than you and get the job done very well you should be trying to retain them.
Because of him essentially burning his bridges with so many people, he is constantly posting ads it seems to try and recruit help. Not surprisingly, a lot of the stuff he needs help with is fully doable with the people he had worked with. However, asking them would require him to swallow his pride and actually show that he needs their help. Seems silly, but you would be surprised on how many people take things personal like this versus just trying to be professional.
Find the right person is hard enough as it is and checking your ego at the door is kind of a necessity. Now granted there are those who run a successful business with a ruling with an iron fist approach. But generally speaking I would say the most successful people work more to empower the people they hire and doing what they can to convince them to stay and grow with the business.
