Awhile back my mom asked if I could find these Apple Pectin capsules online as the store she normally bought it from was sold out and other places appeared to charge a lot of money for it. Sure enough, I was able to find it quickly even on large sites like Amazon. They were cheaper than where she usually bought it from too. So I asked if she wanted to stock up on a few so that she wouldn’t have to worry about them for while. However, she said one would be good as she can buy more when she runs out.
Fast forward today and she needs some more. However, checking the prices online the product appeared to have increased in price. It seemed to be about five dollars more expensive than what is what a few months ago. This was disappointing to her of course as no one wants to pay more knowing what they cold have paid not too long ago.
Usually for these types of long shelf-life items I tend to buy enough supply to last me three months minimum if there isa great sale. It’s not so much so that I don’t have to put it on the shopping list, instead it gives me flexibility to monitor prices and purchase more when there is another good deal. Like in these cases, many times when I still have over a month of supplies, I would find another great sale price and the cycle continues.
You may ask why not just buy a year’s worth right? Well, there is the possibility that there will be an even better deal and you would regret it in that case for buying everything at a higher price. So it’s the best balance I think.
