Simply Being Reliable To Win Jobs

The other day I was contacted about whether or not I wanted to work on a job which was surprising as normally you would have to apply or say bid for these types of work. However, it seemed like they were in a rush of sort and so they just needed to find someone reliable. Therefore, they simply shortlisted me to see whether or not I wanted to work on the project. Ultimately, I did agree to it.

Fast forward to today and I was shocked again as I wasn’t expecting to be needed until months later. But they asked me if I could do some of the work today and I promptly adjusted some items to make everything work. I guess it worked out for them in that sense of choosing someone they can rely on as showing up in dire situations is not something everyone can reliably do.

It shows how way important way to stand out is to simply be reliable and professional. You can spend thousands of dollars with fancy marketing strategies or pricing yourself as the most attractive. But in many cases your reputation of being reliable can be the ultimate decision maker for businesses to hire one consistently over others.
