Selling Human Assistance For Self Serve Tax Solutions

With the tax season ending soon a lot of people are scrambling to submit their taxes before the deadline. For many nowadays that means buying a tax software and filing everything online. Now these pieces of software are meant to be user friendly and an alternative from having to hire an expensive accountant to do your taxes. But that’s the funny thing I thought as there are tax software nowadays that have add on services which includes having a human manually verifying your information and giving advice. I was thinking, wasn’t that the whole point of getting this tax software?

After adding everything up it would almost be the same as if you just paid a human to do the work for you were in that case they would literally do everything for you. Funny how people don’t see that point as it should mean the product isn’t really doing what it is intended to do if you still need a human to verify and explain things. But there must be people paying for it.

Is it just out of habit where people are still comparing say these digital services to having to fill out traditional paper forms as an example?
