I actually can’t believe people are still doing this as recently I was reading how there was a person selling courses on how to make money online making video content and from what I saw the person was making virtually no money themselves with the content they made as it seemed to be mostly views from people they knew. However, despite this I suppose they have a following from other businesses and was trying to now sell courses costing hundreds of dollars bragging how they can teach people how to achieve the same success.
It’s just mind boggling how with search engine and even AI these days you can probably get a very clear picture on whether or not the person makes more from say those courses than their actual business. That should be a red flag as you are basically investing in a dream versus some kind of solid plan to help you achieve success like with a reputable mentor of sort.
At the same time, this sure shows you the importance of branding and marketing as many times skills and results don’t matter as much when it comes to selling these types of items.
