This was great news I heard the other day where a person I was consulting for their startup implemented all of my advice as they got to work in building their presence where initially they questioned if it worked as they were expecting things to happen instantly. However, to prove the point I showed them what I was doing for something similar and how it usually plays out if you are consistent in producing the work. Sure enough, he started to get traction and kept going at it. Just the other day, he messaged me how happy he was as he made is first $1000.
I didn’t charge the person money for my advice too as I wanted them to succeed. But it’s a great example on why people charge a lot of money to give advice as it’s extremely valuable like here in helping people to actually be successful. This is versus them having to spend thousands to learn or make costly mistakes to get to the same spot. A lot of times, seeing your advice offer value like this is what many people need to give them the confidence that their knowledge has value.
It can be anything such as if you have the knowledge to help people navigate a tough business decision or even the ability to make people laugh. There is usually someone who has an immediate need for your skills. You may think it is nothing since it’s so natural for yourself. But don’t underestimate how valuable those skillsets are.
