For one of my projects I recently noticed that some old work had gotten a ton of exposure as a result of recent world events. When I first worked on it I didn’t think too much and it got some basic results out of it. Afterwards I just continued on making new things each day. But because of world events this garnered extreme interest in the older work where they were now actually generating a lot of sales.
That’s kind of interesting many ways as people often say it’s all about the consistency and that you just have to keep doing things even though it doesn’t seem like you are getting much out of it at times. If I just stopped doing anything before based on the initial results I would have missed out on this current wave as I wouldn’t have already had it in place for people to find.
It makes me think of the saying of the harder you work the luckier you get. It is luck in many ways with how the events played out, but at the same time it took actual real work to set everything up before even though the returns didn’t seem very worthwhile. Don’t underestimate how planting seeds can really grow into something great later on I guess you can say.
